Compassion is the only medicine; unconditional love is the only treatment. When the mind is at unease, two things will help. One is practice; another is dispassion. Dispassion means – this moment I want to be at rest. As soon as this happens, your meditation, practices gain momentum. You sit comfortably and become one with the Infinity.

Talks by H.H.Sri Sri Ravi Shankar – Compassion is the only medicine; unconditional love is the only treatment: letting go is the medicine for dealing with the mistakes of the others. You know we love people, we love with a condition. See I love you, so in return you must love me or do something. Better you prove your love to me, that you really love me. Here comes the question of trust. The entire world lives on trust. Without trust you cannot move an inch. 2) When the mind is at unease, two things will help. One is practice; another is dispassion. Dispassion means – “Right now I am not interested in anything. This moment I want to be at rest. My mind is tired, running after this or that. Now I want to be at peace. This moment I’m not going to engage myself in any of this activity.” This very thought brings you to the center. That is dispassion. As soon as this happens, your meditation, practices gain momentum. In meditation you calm down. You sit comfortably and become one with the Infinity.
